Alice Royer Malooly passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 10, 2017. She was born in Hickman, Kentucky on February 2, 1939. She was preceded in death by her parents Ancil "Skip" and Mary Bradley Royer and siblings Martha Webb, Pauline Gaskins, Virginia Dotson, Barbara Davidson, Doris Phillips, Lou Badger and John Henry "Buddy" Royer.
Alice is survived by her loving and devoted husband of fifty-eight years, Ray, her son Alan Malooly, grandchildren Ryan and Skyler; daughter Susan Daw (Greg) grandchildren Zachary, Cassidy and Hayley; daughter Lisa Malooly, daughter Michele Karp (Stephen) grandchildren Arthur and Stephen, brother Tom E. Royer and many nieces and nephews.
Alice enjoyed membership, volunteering and holding board positions for many civic organizations. Many friendships and fond memories were formed through The UTEP Women's Auxiliary, El Paso Symphony Guild, Woman's Department Greater El Paso Chamber of Commerce, the Ysleta Chapter Order of the Eastern Star 991, and the Sun Bowl Association. As an avid golfer, one of her favorite memories was celebrating her two 'hole-in-ones' during tournament play, while a member of the Hole-In-One-Club. Her 'Wednesday Art Class' held a special place in her heart. As a talented artist, she was very generous with many of her beautiful oil paintings, and they adorn the homes of many family and friends. Her Bridge group brought years of joy, as well as, loyal and cherished friendships. She will be greatly missed by her family and many lifelong friends for her loving spirit, positive attitude, grace and kindness to all she encountered.
As a devout Orthodox Christian, she was a lifetime member of the Order of St. Ignatius, St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church and St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, August 13, 2017 from 5:00p.m. to 6:00 p.m. with Trisagion Service at 6:00 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home West 128 N. Resler Dr.
Funeral Service will be held Monday, August 14, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church, 120 N. Festival. Services officiated by Rev. Fr. Joseph-Hector Abouid and The V. Rev. Fr. Jehad Micheal, Pastor Emeritus
